falling in reverse

love these, ok so the first song i will be writing about is "pick up the phone" this song is like a rock, punk song. it is a really great and creative song. not yet seen a video but i`m sure that`ll be brilliant. At the start of this song it`s got an ringing and it goes to answer machine and he screams down the phone. He`s like a very jealous, protective type of boy. " You, You better be alone, No I'm not obsessed, But if I catch you with somebody else, You know that I'm gonna be upset." he`s saying if i catch  you with someone else (another boy) then it`s not gonna turn out good for you. The lad really just wants to end it " And I'm sick and tired of fighting each other, The lying, the crying, the calling your mother,The calling of names, I'm bothered and smothered, We kiss and make up, and get under the covers." he doesn`t want to fight with her anymore, just to be the happy family they were before any of this happened. this song is defiantly not like the next song i am goin to talk about. which is "the drug in me is you." 

"The drug in me is you." this song has a punk pop vibe, it`s a kinda messed up love song. that`s why i like it.  it the video theirs a part where he`s gone towards her and the coppers are trying to get him a way but failing, "I've lost ,Myself ,You tried to reach me but you just can't help me ,So long ,Goodbye ,You tried to save me, it won't work this time" She`s trying to get him out of the court room but as the lyrics state she can`t help him now. i`m not sure what he did, but oh well.  It has strong language well to me it`s not strong i`ve heard much worse, but oh well. some people may take offence some might not. I first heard this song on kerrang and we all know that they block out swears and mature content. but this song is defiantly one o my favs. i have toend this one short because i`ve got spanish homework to do. i will finish it off just not right now. love ya,

black veil brides

Ok i could talk about these for hours, but i`m not going to bore you with all my thoughts and feeling for this band. Just getting right to the point.

Ok, black veil brides is one of my fav bands, one of the songs i am completely in love with right now is "Saviour" Love this song, it`s got a really calming edge to it, but has alittle screaming in there too. This song honestly makes me cry everytime i hear it. "So hear my voice, Reminds you not to bleed, I am here" These lyrics quite remind me of another song "concrete angel" It`s about an abused girl. Andy (the lead singer) is holding out his hand to help this child and get her/him though the ordeal. This song isn`t like most of "black veil brides" songs, this one touches your heart and keeps a warm sensation in your soul. Not quite sure how you`d feel about it but that`s what it`s like for me and i can`t stop listening to it. It`s always on replay on my phone. "Saviour! Will be there, When you are feeling alone" It`s saying no matter what happens, there is always someone there to save you, and if they don`t come now it`s not the right time, when i feel like the world has turned it`s back on me i play this song and it`s somehow makes everything better. It rids you of your fears and worries, completely drains you of all the bad things and leaves you there calm and relaxed. Unlike most of the song which make me wanna smash something, i`m not saying it`s a bad thing but sometimes you need soft songs to calm you down, without getting weird looks from people across the street, while your playing opera while dressed all in black, trust me you get a few looks. "Black veil brides" need a few more songs like this, aside from the normal music i listen to, i really like this type of song, for reasons i`ve already stated. You have to download this song.

Next song is "never give in". this is the song that stick to their type of music, rock, metal type of thing.  Probably my favourite genre. the chorus itself is very inspirational. "Never give in, Never back down, Never give in!" Never give up in what you believe in. If your ridiculed for it, tell em to stuff it. This song is the light most people have been waiting for, just never noticed it before. This band is extremely committed to what they do, i believe Andy biersack had two insentience during some concerts. One included him jumping of an extremely high ledge and miss calculating the distance to the other ledge he was suppose to land on and shattered 3 of his ribs, yet he continued the concert and waited till the end to go to the hospital. And the other included him breaking his nose and yet again he waited till the end to go to the hospital. Tat s commitment. The only downfall to Andy`s extremely bold and reckless behaviour, cause all other concerts off. disappointing many fans in the progress. I`m not telling any to stop what he`s doing, i`m just saying thing of you fans and your own health. I personally don`t want him hurting himself and possibly the other band members. This song fits Andy and his friends perfectly. No matter what happens, their never give up and stop what they love to do. This is their life, and this is what they wanted to do with it. Hopefully they go far in life and don`t do what most bands do after awhile and split up, going their own separate ways.

A loss for words

"The lost cause I used to be" is about a guy who`s lost hope and feeling sorry for himself. "Time to stop singing, time to start living." I think means that he things that making a career out of singing is kind of useless and not real, it`s a fantasy and singers need to star living in the real world. "She said to me: boy it`s time to stop giving, and time to start hanging on" "She" Thinks that if your giving stuff away, you won`t have anyone to turn to and you have to hang on to what you`ve got, not what you give. Their style is quirky and really shows of what type of band they are and even better what kind of people they individually. Each of the guy are different to one another, but the balance between the guys fit perfectly together. The genre of music they produce is kind of punk rock. this band does scream with is defiantly what makes them different for the other bands. "the lost cause i used to be" Does not yet have a music video, but when that is constructed it`s going to be unique and quirky just like their personalities and will fit the song perfectly. With some bands the song is great and the video is great but they don`t work together as a team, so it just doesn`t work. ut hopefully this band makes it work and makes it brilliant.

"Honeymoon eyes" defiantly has a punk rock vibe to it. The lyrics and the music fit perfectly together. Again no video yet because the album has only just come out. I will be getting their album because this is a little different to the music i listen to. It may be your type of music it might not. But i know for a fact that these guys will go far. A 5 man band is probably common, singer, back-up guitar, bass, drums and lead guitar. Are the most common, but since their is no video i can`t quite tell. "Your sick of second best, you need a wedding dress, to put your mind at rest" Is she`s only getting married because she doesn`t like being single and doesn`t want to get married but needs to get married. "You will stay because you think you`re happy, You will stay because it`s comfortable, You will stay because you think you`re happy, You will stay because you don`t want to be alone." She`s only staying married because she doesn`t want to be single,She`s doing it for the fact that she thing that if she`s married than she`ll be happy. Being single isn`t the happiest time for some people, and she is one of them. The song lyrics really go with the song title. "Honeymoon eyes" All you can see if marriage, all you hear is marriage, but you don`t really want marriage. I really like this song because it gets to people but the bit i really don` get is in a section of the song it says, "The monkey on your back is breathing down your neck." I honestly have no idea what that is about. But oh well.

The plot in you

Playing these right now, and to me the start is kinda weird. But in a serious way. It`s got a woman crying on the phone and a man picks up the other end and she say`s she`s pregnant at he like freaks out and starts screaming. "him: hello......hello...... her: I`m pregnant". This band has a mix and match of styles. There`s skinny jeans, 3/4 length trousers and ripped 3/4 length trousers. But it suits there music pretty well, somehow it sends the rebellious and wild kinda look. This is the type of music parents do not ant their children to be listen to but what do parents know. If they say no kids go out and buy it anyways. This is defiantly not like the other bands i`ve heard, cause at the start the music has a slight techno sound to it, but sticks with the rock screamo genre. Like most of the bands i`ve heard so far this is defiantly on my top 5. "The father`s seed" Doesn`t yet have a video but i`m on the look out when they do.

"Miscarriage" Has a repetitive scheme at the start, it is a continuous pattern then  he starts screaming but that doesn`t last too long for he sings about 55 seconds into the song. "too keep you here with me, too keep your heart beating." sounds like a love song with a twist. And about 1 minute and 15 seconds in it goes techno for about 3 seconds. This song is a romance gone wrong but in a good way, there`s obviously a new dad who found out his wife/gf is having a baby but, as the title says, has a miscarriage. He`s going through alot of emotions right now and can`t deal with it. "i`m doing everything i can do to keep you here with me, too keep your heart beating" can be interpreted in too ways, either it`s the woman he`s talking too because she`s done something to risk her life and he`s trying to save her. OR it`s the baby he`s trying to save, it`s not breathing and he`s trying to save it`s life and the woman is perfectly healthy and well. And another way "Tell me that i`m sleeping, i prey i`m not awake" He`s imagining that, the event that just occurred didn`t happen and is hoping and preying he was a sleep. In retrospect this is a really depressing/sad song, something that would allow a single tear to roll down your cheek without realising it. It`s not something your gonna play and your little brother/sisters 6th birthday party is it. But i like it and hopefully you do too.

Secrets

Ok, just heard these. This is a really good song, unfortunately their only song so far. "The heartless part" is the only song yet recorded by "Secrets". No music video but good song. It`s a depressing kind of song, but has an upbeat rhythm to it. "Your heart is my favourite toy" is the kind of lyrics you would hear from a song about heartbreak and i`m pretty sure that`s what this song is about. Apart from the fact that the title gives it away big time. I will be on the look out for the next single they record and you will hear about it. But for now i`m writing about "The Heartless Part". This song is playing right now as i`m writing, It starts off with guitar and drums and then he whispers something, that i don`t quite catch no matter how many times i`ve played it over. He then goes screamo and it stays like that for a short period of time, then it softens out so you can hear clearly what he`s saying. The style of music is between rock metal or punk screamo. I can`t quite decide. This band`s style is not what you`d expect from  their music. pumps or maybe sandals, plain white t-shirts or vest tops, 3/4 ripped jeans. Skinny jeans (expected) and ripped skinny jeans(again expected). It may not be your style and it`s defiantly not my style, but  it suits these guys perfectly. The music is defiantly a CD i would buy or download. Hopefully they produce one. This type of song i would have full blast allowing my dad to shout at me to turn it down. I wouldn`t usually risk getting shouted at but with this song it`s so worth it. Hopefully you feel the same. I`m so glad that these guys aren`t stuck playing at their local cafe or night club and they have been sign and are on their way to the big time. Hopefully they don`t get a head of themselves like a lot of band and artists i hear about. Hopefully they stay grounded(not grounded as in punishment), level headed and down to earth. I would hate for them to be in the news for the wrong reasons. you may not likes "Secrets", but i do and hope they go far in their career in music.

Sleeping with sirens

"If I'm James Dean, Then You're Audrey Hepburn" starts singing right at the beginning. The lead singer has a voice that`s kind of high when he sings, but goes considerably low when he screams. And me being a girl in general think he is actually pretty hot considering i`m talking about them on a professional note. But the band itself are quite fascinating to me, their style doesn`t really match the plot of the video. Their clothes suit them as individuals but not the song. The video is kinda sad but i was engrowthed in it and i just couldn`t stop watching it. The song is about love, "They say that love is forever, and forever is all that i need" it`s got a moral/motto and to me that is, love is true so believe in it. My motto to the song goes really well with the video, because near the end the man find the girl he loves, she`s sitting on a chair at the end of a hallway and he`s walking through it ignoring all the other women who want him. love is a challenge, if you ignore the distractions you`ll get your reward. And they finally kiss. The band name really goes well with this song, the siren is the girl. It`s an extremely romantic song and video. "you bring out the beast in me, i felt the love from the moment we kiss." This is the type of music that has a punk rock vibe going through it. But screamo mixed in there aswell. It`s not suppose to work but it does, with his voice, the musical arts of the other band members, the video, the lyrics. It fits in with each other perfectly. I just can`t stop listening to this song.

"If you can`t hang" is also a song by "sleeping with sirens". It starts off the lead singer walks on and there`s a delay then he starts singing. There`s water on the drums which really adds effect when the sticks hit off the snare with a lot of power. The style of clothing chosen in this video really represent the members personalities. And the song itself has the same genre as "If I'm James Dean, Then You're Audrey Hepburn" Punk rock but screamo mixed. Again it`s about love but in a more depressing manner, it`s more about heartbreak/complications within a relationship. "baby if you can`t hang, then there`s the door." It`s as if he and his girlfriend have had a fight and he`s asking her if she can`t take it, then just leave. "I met a girl at 23, she meant the world to me, so i gave her everything and she did the same for me." Again love with it ups and downs. "such a pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty face, but turned into a pretty big waste of my time." He was in love but it turned sour and that`s where "baby if you can`t hang, then there`s the door." comes into play. The song is absolutely brilliant. This is going on my download list. I suggest it goes on yours.This is personally one of my favourite songs by "Sleeping with sirens" If i had the chance to see these guys in concert i would jump at the chance, and hopefully so would you.

"With ears to see, and eyes to hear" is also on my top 3 "sleeping with sirens" songs. In this video all the band members are acting like prats (not in the mean way) and just acting like any other guy. This song is about best friends but turned sour, The real thing it`s about is betrayal. "True friends lie underneath, these witty words i don`t believe, I can`t believe a damn thing they say anymore, Lie! Liar you`ll pay for your sins. Now! Liar I know all the places you`ve been" This betrayal theme is kind of depressing but has a real meaning, Know who you friends are, they lie they aren`t worth your time. The video is kind of quirky and hilarious, but surprisingly matches the song. In the song it`s about best friends not being truthful and honest and the video he(the lead singer) is hanging out with his best friends(band mates) and messing around, harassing people and just acting like teenage lads. That is what i like about this band, they are committed to what they do which is what makes there music unique and fun-filled. You have to download this from itunes. I have and it`s now blasting through my ears on my laptop.

Like moths to flames

Ok, just heard these and i already love them. "You won`t be missed" Is playing on my phone right now. At the start of the song it just has guitars but then the lead singer jumps in with his screaming.  The lyrics to me are a bit dark and at times hard to understand but that`s life. Most of the time you can hear the words clearly. To me most rock/screamo bands sound all the same but not with this one, He`ll start off screaming then it`ll go soft and just plain singing, but never looses it`s touch, just as you start to get bored (I don`t get bored) it turns sour and screams down your ears, which is what keeps you interested. These guys have real talent, this shows in their song that they are extremely passionate for what they do. Some band i`ve met and hear just do it for money. But this is certainly not the case with "Like moths to flames". On the other hand "Trophy child" sticks with the screamo sound but is a little explicit for younger age group for it has small areas of bad language but that`s what makes it fun. This time the lyrics are alot easier to understand. And the screaming isn`t so loud, but it never bores you. It`s like a drug, once you`ve hear one you want more. This song doesn`t yet have a video, but when it is produced i can`t wait to see it. it has a bit of repetition, but not much. "Go f**k yourself" is one of the things that is actually repeated. But along with the screaming it has a gentler side but it`s not classical, because i would be asleep by now. This is also one of the songs i`ve listened to, "No Hope". Personally this song is a little depressing at the start but totally changed around 30 seconds into the song. With this song the words are hard to understand, you actually understand like every other word. But this isn`t a diss/ burn, if it was you`d know about it. These again are extremely talented and passionate. They have their own merchandise, which is pretty cool as being most of their songs haven`t actually been viewed alot on YouTube. This is defiantly one of the must see bands at the moment. Raise their status and view, like or love these guys, they defiantly deserve it.

Miss May I

Right now i`m a big fan of "Miss May I". I am listening to "Relentless Chaos" as we speak. This song has a rock screamo type of sound. The words aren`t the easiest to understand at times, but in little sections of the song you can hear the words very clearly. Some of the lyrics are repetitive, but most of the time the words are different. It has a rebellious sound to it, It`s also in the title. Relentless chaos using easier words means continuous trouble making, it never ends and unfortunately this song does end, but between the time limit of 3minutes 21 second this song makes me want to break something which is kind of the songs i like. If you like that kind of thing this is one of the bands you have got to listen to. With some songs i`ve heard it sounds like a pile of words just thrown together, this is not the case with this song. On the other hand "Architect" is also on my top 3 songs by "Miss May I" along with "Forgive and Forget". "Architect" sticks with the rock screamo sound, but has a slightly more serious note to it. This is the type of song i listen to if i`m walking down the street or path. It`s full blast and i love to see the looks on peoples faces as they hear the music coming from my earphones. I listen to this during lessons, because it helps me concentrate. This may be the complete opposite to you but that`s what i`m about. This band is dedicated to what they do, you can tell through their music. So the last one i will be writing about is "Forgive and Forget". The video is quite strange, at the start it`s got a small child falling asleep to science which personally i would do and then a crazy party starts, which i pretty cool. The song itself is quite fascinating. The words aren`t the easiest to understand because of the genre: rock screamo sound, most of the time is hard to understand unless you have the lyrics. I really like the parts of the video where all of the band member are head-banging, but it`s not random, their all in sync with each other. And at first they start off in an abandoned warehouse or what seem like one, but they end up in the house. And it ends just as the kid wakes up and the tv is still on. The little boy walks out either aware of the mess and just ignoring it or totally unaware of the situation that just happened around him.
